Open to senior TPM / delivery roles and Q1 partnerships

MarkWamwangi

When a product has to ship — and stay up — I help close the gap.

I help companies and partners ship and steady platforms — media, payments, travel, and data. Engineering-trained, I’m targeting Technical Program Manager / platform delivery seats where I can own outcomes end-to-end (not slide-only PM work).

If you’re a company

I might be what you’ve been missing.

You probably already have builders and managers. What’s harder to find is someone who can own delivery and stay honest about the tech — so stalled work starts moving again.

If you’re an individual

You’ll want to work with me.

I don’t hide behind process, and I don’t pretend to understand a system I don’t. People who work beside me tend to leave clearer, sharper, and more confident in the craft.

If you’re looking to partner

There’s a lot you can learn here.

Agencies, integrators, and founders don’t only get capacity. You get judgment from shipping at telco and media scale — the kind of patterns you only pick up by living through them.

How I work

I can code, run the program, and advise — without losing the plot.

I’m an engineer by training, and I’m aiming for technical program ownership — end-to-end delivery outcomes, not slide-only PM work. A lot of teams split the work: engineers in one room, program managers in another, consultants who drop in with slides. The hard part is usually the space between those rooms — dates that ignore the architecture, architecture that ignores the calendar, advice that never meets production.

I’ve lived on both sides. I’ve built backends for platforms with 100k+ daily users, led programs that cut downtime by about 90%, stood up a data lake over eight months, and helped deliver systems work on Safaricom’s Baze through Big Bold Red.

So when we talk, you’re not getting a job title — you’re getting someone who has done the work companies, teammates, and partners usually wish they had in the room earlier.

Why this matters

Open to

Roles with real ownership. Partnerships with clear scope.

If you’re hiring, I can fill the seat that usually falls between engineering and program management. If you want to work together as a teammate, the focus is clear delivery and honest technical judgment. If you’re a partner, bring a scoped problem — engagement terms are agreed in writing before work starts.

Full-time or long-term roles, agency work, focused platform programs, and selective advisory — when scope, fees, and expectations can be documented properly.

On a past release recovery I learned to name rollback paths and release ownership in week one — not after the urgent fixes pile up. Read the full note
